About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and strategic SEO Team Lead to spearhead our organic growth efforts. This role demands a data-driven, creative, and organized leader who can manage an SEO team, craft and execute effective SEO strategies, and work closely with the off-page team to drive high-quality backlinks. The ideal candidate will be deeply familiar with technical SEO, content strategy, analytics, and link acquisition best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement holistic SEO strategies aligned with business goals.
- Oversee both on-page and technical SEO initiatives to improve organic visibility and rankings.
- Identify new growth opportunities across keywords, content, and SERP features.
- Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SEO specialists and analysts.
- Set clear KPIs and team goals, ensuring accountability and continuous performance improvement.
- Conduct regular training to keep the team up to date with industry changes and tools.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Use tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and third-party SEO platforms (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, MS Clarity) to track performance.
- Monitor keyword rankings, traffic trends, and user behavior to make data-driven decisions.
- Deliver insightful SEO reports and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
- Collaboration with Off-Page Team
- Work closely with the link-building team to define backlink acquisition requirements.
- Provide guidelines on link types, target pages, anchor text distribution, and authority metrics.
- Evaluate backlink profiles and ensure alignment with SEO goals and Google guidelines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with content, development, and product teams to align SEO with broader marketing and product strategies.
- Ensure SEO best practices are embedded in content creation, UX, and website updates.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and current SEO trends.
- Experience with major SEO tools (Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.).
- Proven track record of increasing organic traffic and rankings through SEO.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with or managing link-building teams is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- BBA, BSCS, B.Com, or equivalent
- Knowledge of technical SEO aspects like Core Web Vitals, schema markup, and site architecture.
- Familiarity with content optimization frameworks and topical authority principles.
